Getting the most from your revision
Ø You should include different activities during your revision sessions – for example reading, note making, answering questions etc.
Ø If you don’t understand the material you are revising, ask for help – you can ask your teacher or use the library.
Ø Make sure you have all the stationery you need before you start revising.
Ø Once you understand a topic, make notes on it in your own words.
Ø Look for “key points”, in other words the bare essentials of the topic.
Ø Keep your notes organised – they will be more useful to you if you know where to find information when you need it.
Ø Work through the past exam papers you will be given. As you get closer to the exam, you should try timing yourself as you do a paper so that you know how much time a question should take.
